Sydney Good Food & Wine Show

Hey Foodies,

Tomorrow the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show starts in Sydney and is on until Sunday. If you haven't been before it's simply a must.

There is so much food (& wine :) to try and great celebrity chefs. Some of the boys from Masterchef will be there too. I am keen to see Gary in action.

The first time I went a few years ago, I had to go back to the car after about 2 hours as I physically couldn't carry all the goodies I had bought.

RecipeLover will be doing some filming there tomorrow, so if you see a camera and some guy with a RecipeLover t-shirt on, please come and say hi!!

Link to your own Website or Blog - It's New!!

Hey All,

We've had a few requests for people to link to their own website or blog, so it's been done.

All you need to do is make sure you have submitted 5 recipes and when you go in and edit your profile, there'll be a new field in there called WebsiteURL, just enter the URL and we'll give your website a link.

The more links a website has, the better Google and other search engines will rank your site.

So to all restaurant owners, bloggers or anyone that wants to promote themselves, you can do it for free via RecipeLover.

MasterChef...yes I am addicted

Hey All,

I was just wondering who else is addicted to the Oz version of MasterChef on Ch10.....we'll I certainly am. The show has really got me inspired.

I know the episodes get dragged out a little, but that's the reality of reality TV. I think it shows that good food is a passion and an art form. I like how it reminds us to really appreciate what we put in our mouths and take care over how we treat food.

Ex-pro golfer Lucas Parsons is a very old friend of mine, having playing junior golf with him when he came down from Orange to play for Pymble Golf Club. Lucas went on to great things winning the Greg Norman Invitational at the Lakes Golf Club a few years back. So yes I am hoping he can come through with the goods. But a lot of the contestants are very likeable.

Over the next few weeks I will be trying some of the Masterchef recipes, both the cook-offs and the pressure-test recipes and I'll post the recipes and result on RecipeLover.

You may have noticed our new video feature is live on RecipeLover. Wanna be famous, wanna be a star, then create a video and upload it.

Already the OnePotChef has uploaded some great recipe videos for us to enjoy!!

You can upload new videos or even embed ones that may already be on YouTube.

Video is Coming

Hi All,

The last few weeks we have been working on adding video to RecipeLover. We have been working with our partner Google, or more specifically YouTube, so budding TV stars can show us how they cook their favourite recipes.

You'll have the option to embed videos that are already on YouTube, or upload new videos direct from RecipeLover.

We are just doing the final testing today and hope to have this launched by Wednesday.
